Sweet bear bread

Hello! Recently I bought a TLS (Translucent Liquid Sculpey) to make a liquid-creamery look polymer clay. It was tricky at first because I didn't condition it really well. And then I got a tips from a friend, the owner of Parfait Kingdom told me to use baby oil to soften it and TA-DA! it works really well. :) I think I am going to use baby oil from now on. To make a cream using TLS required a large amount of TLS. TLS is very expensive compare to baby oil too. I hope this experiment works after baked too.

These are pictures I took before baking :

This bear one was inspired by petite_carino instagram, a really cute and awesome clay maker. They specialized on making pastry bread made from clay. They even put a cute face and shape to make them look best. :)

Chibi Maruko Chan and Snow White Charms

Hello these clays were my second attempt on making polymer clay after the burned Adventure Time before. I was a little bit more sceptical at this time. On the night I went to take good pictures of them before I bake them on the next morning. I just have to make sure that at least I have the best picture before baking, if I ever burned my polymer clay again.

Picture that I post on instagram I took last night, the lighting were not the best, so I took new pictures on the blog this morning after baking with better lighting.

So these are my new polymer clay charms! I am very happy with the result :) :)

BURNED POLYMER CLAY!!!!!! :( :( (with Before & After photos)

I have the urge to post this because I am so much heart broken :(
I't's not like heart broken in love whatever but it was because my clays are burnt and all my favorite clay creation are failed. :"

I was so happy to make Adventure Time clay creations. I made it really with all my heart and with all the patient. I made all the clays for 3 days. 2 charms at each day because I was a little bit busy with my internship. I was in love with love with all my charms and really couldn't wait to bake it.
And then it happened :( they were burned and turn browish and really ugly. It was hard to see them at first because somehow I couldn't believe it. I was angry and sad and dissapoint at the same time :(
It felt really bad though.. I really wish that this is my first and the LAST time I burned my clay like this. I hope this won't happened anytime in my life again. I took this experience as a lesson, and I am not giving up!! I will make polymer clay again probably tomorrow.

My lovelies..
I tried to make the clays the exact colour.
It took a really long time mixing the colours and shaping them.
(and smoothening them as well) I wanted them to be perfect.

BUT
in just 35 minutes they were all burned like this :

they look terrifying, right?
:(
It turned brown and smell really bad

I really wish I could turn back time.

Starting to make Polymer Clay

Hi! Now I am trying to make something out of polymer clay. I have always wanted to try polymer clay since a long time ago because there were a lot of consideration such as expensive blocks of polymer clays, the fact that it has to be burnt on the oven and expensive tools. However I couldn't wait any longer to give it a try. Since my university thingy has done this semseter and now I can stay at my house (beside internship job that I'm doing on work days), I taught that now is the perfect time to make polymer clay creation.

I bought my clays online. the brand that I am using is Sculpey. The price is more expensive than the clay I used before (Amos Soft Clay). This Sculpey cost 36k rupiah each. I tried Sculpey at first because they are softer than the other polymer clay such as Fimo. Using Sculpey would help me to adapt from soft clay to polymer clay. And Sculpey is a bit cheaper than Fimo. Fimo is around 41-45k. Well like the older says you got price, you got thing, actually Fimo has better quality. I did a research on polymer clay, they said Sculpey is more fragile and got browning if overheated. Well that are so much true. I will share you my Sculpey polymer clay creation here:

This is Molang, a white rabbit character from Japan.
Molang was my first creation of polymer clay.
I love this charm soooo much. However right now it has
yellowed a bit I think because I put too much gloss. There must be
something, maybe the brush wasn't clean enough.

These are my other creations of polymer clay.
A rabbit tsum-tsum, panda, and rabbit.

I really love how my polymer clay turns out!
It was a bit fragile, I dropped the panda one and one of the ear was broken, however I think Sculpey is good enough for beginner.

I will keep updating my polymer clay
See you soon!
