Glue Gun Art

Hello! This post is not clay related because I have something interesting to share with you!
This crafting ideas is very easy and simple. It does not requires any high prices art supplies or anything. You can use basic crafting tools such as glue gun. Does your mom love to make a jelly or pudding? Be nice to your mom and ask her to borrow the mold just for a little while.

This is glue gun. Buy a cheap glue gun that works fine.
You also need to purchase the glue stick if you don't have it.
Just make sure, do not touch the metal part while you heat it and when it's on.
It will burn your skin! So be more careful ok? :)

And this is the mold! I actually bought it at supermarket for 36k rupiah.
This silicon mold is resistant to heat so you don't have to worry it will melt or something.

So basically you just pre-heat the glue gun for 2 or 3 minutes until the glue starting to came off the tip. And then carefully press the glue gun (the orange pedal) to bring out the melting glue. Be careful the glue is hot too! Carefully aim to the small part of the mold first. For example if you choose the rabbit mold, make sure that you aim at the ear until it's covered nicely and get the right shape and then aim to the head while pressing. It will take about 10 minutes to cool and you can peel it off right away. It does not sticky to the mold at all!

And here are the result of my creation! :)

Paint it with acrylic paint and seal it with gloss, and it's done!!
You can screw an eyepin if you want to make this as a charm too.

Good luck!!

My Little Prince

The Little Prince (French: Le Petit Prince; French pronunciation: [lə.pə.tiˈpʁɛ̃s]), first published in 1943, is a novella and the most famous work of the French aristocrat, writer, poet and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (1900–1944).
The novella is the 3rd most-translated book in the world and was voted the best book of the 20th century in France. Translated into more than 250 languages and dialects (as well as Braille), selling nearly two million copies annually with sales totalling over 140 million copies worldwide, it has become one of the best-selling books ever published. (Wikipedia)

This clay creation was one of the most challenging project I have ever made. It might look clumsy and a lot of distortion but I kinda like it that way X) Imperfection made something more special. This project based on my friend's request. He requested to make a Little Prince playing the piano and the fox near him. I did many research before I start to make the clay. The first thing I made was the piano.
The piano was made with paper clay. I went through sculpting then sanding and painting the piano with acrylic. The grass was made of green felt. The Prince and the Fox were made of Amos soft air-dry clay.

I put the fox on the top of the piano because
it shows more friendship and togetherness than I just put it on the grass.

The fox was really happy as the Prince play along the piano.

I hope you guys like it! :) :)

Birthday present from Clover and Flower

Hand drawing illustration for the envelope
to sweep away the formalities of using brown plain envelope.

Using little plastic containers and a very simple handwriting notes
to make a compact look

Never forget to put the name on the backside too

Small paper would help organizing the pins.

A closer look of Bites&Co signature 'Cheesecake Bites'
I glazed the top of them to make them look very fresh and chill

A very simple personal handwriting notes with a hint of illustration
to make her heart sweet and warm.

If you are wondering who is Astrid, she is my little sister, currently living in Australia for her studies.
She is studying patisserie and Bites&Co was her little shop back then before she left for her studies.
Her Cheesecake Bites were so famous that everyone were looking for it for those who has tried it would ask for more :P
Since she loves making cake so I made her polymer clay cakes too.
Giving a present to someone you love with a very personal touch would make it the most treasureable present.
